Return Reference Explanation
Schedule I, Part II Sesame Workshop does not typically make grants to other tax-exempt organizations; however, Sesame Workshop will support these organizations through their galas and other special event activities. To the extent that the payment to these organizations represents a contribution (beyond the goods and services received), Sesame reports these amounts as contributions on Schedule I. Sesame Workshop does not need to institute additional monitoring procedures with respect to these grants, as the Workshop would not have agreed to support a gala or event for an organization whose mission it did not support (or that did not align with Sesames own educational mission).
