Return Reference Explanation
Form 990, Schedule J, Part I, Line 1a Sesame Workshop's travel policy does not permit its employees (including officers, trustees and key-employees) to fly first class. In fiscal 2016, Exceptions were made in seven instances due to price and availability of other accommodations. Form 990, Schedule J, Part I, Line 4a The following Sesame Workshop officers and/or key employees received severance payments in calendar year 2015. Terrence Fitzpatrick - $239,744 Myung Kang-Huneke - $218,050 Lewis Bernstein - $202,231 Amounts received as severance are reported in Schedule J, Part II, Column (b)(iii). In addition to the foregoing severance payments, the workshop made the following payment to the prior executive officer as part of a retirement benefit. H. Melvin Ming - $375,000
Part I, Line 7 SESAME WORKSHOP MAINTAINS A TARGETED INCENTIVE COMPENSATION PROGRAM FOR WHICH FULL TIME STAFF EMPLOYEES ARE ELIGIBLE. THE TARGET AMOUNT OF EACH EMPLOYEE'S INCENTIVE COMPENSATION IS BASED ON A COMBINATION OF JOB LEVEL, INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE AND COMPANY PERFORMANCE. THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES DETERMINES WHETHER INCENTIVE COMPENSATION PAYMENTS WILL BE MADE FOR EACH GIVEN YEAR AND THE TOTAL AMOUNT AVAILABLE FOR INCENTIVE COMPENSATION. INCENTIVE COMPENSATION AWARDS TO OFFICERS AND KEY EMPLOYEES ARE APPROVED BY THE PERSONNEL AND COMPENSATION COMMITTEE BASED ON COMPARABLE MARKET DATA, AS DESCRIBED IN SCHEDULE O.
