Schedule I, Part I, Line 2 GRANT MONITORING--THE ORGANIZATION MAKES ANNUAL GRANTS TO NONPROFIT ORGANIZATIONS. THE ORGANIZATION HAS A GRANT PROCESS THAT INCLUDES MONITORING THE USE OF THE GRANT FUNDS. THE GRANTEE SUBMITS A BUDGET DURING THE APPLICATION PROCESS. THE GRANTEE MEETS WITH A MONITORING COMMMITTEE TWICE ANNUALLY TO REVIEW THE GRANTEES' COMPLIANCE WITH THE USE OF FUNDS. THEY ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO PROVIDE QUARTERLY EXPENDITURE REPORTS, QUARTERLY FINANCIAL STATEMENTS, AND ANNUAL AUDITS. ALL DOCUMENTATION IS REVIEWED TO ENSURE THAT THE GRANT FUNDS ARE BEING SPENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTENDED USE. FOREIGN TRANSACTIONS PASS-THROUGH US ORGANIZATION--JEWISH FEDERATION OF GREATER METROWEST NJ (FEDERATION) HAS INCLUDED $5,093,456 OF GRANT FUNDING PAID TO JEWISH FEDERATION OF NORTH AMERICA (JFNA) ON SCHEDULE F BASED ON THE INSTRUCTIONS TO SCHEDULE F THAT REQUIRE THAT FUNDS PAID TO A US ORGANIZATION TO BE USED IN FOREIGN LOCATIONS BE SHOWN ON SCHEDULE F. IN REGARD TO THE MONITORING OF THESE FUNDS, FEDERATION REPORTS GRANTS ON SCHEDULE I TO JFNA, WHICH IS A 501(C)(3) DOMESTIC U.S. CHARITY.
