MANAGEMENT SERVICES ARE PROVIDED BY EMPLOYEES OF LUCAS COUNTY. PRIOR TO 1/1/2010 THESE SAME MANAGERS WERE EMPLOYED BY TOLEDO LAW ASSOCIATION. AS OF 1/1/2010 OHIO LAW REQUIRED THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN ASSETS, RESPONSIBILITY AND CONTROL FROM ALL INDEPENDENT OHIO LAW LIBRARIES TO OHIO COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL UNITS. THROUGH AN ARRANGEMENT WITH LUCAS COUNTY, TOLEDO LAW ASSOCIATION CONTINUES TO BE ACTIVE IN PROVIDING ADVISORY SERVICES FOR MANAGEMENT OF THE LIBRARY. IT ALSO USES ITS REMAINING RESOURCES TO FUND LIBRARY NEEDS (IN PARTICULAR, LEGAL PUBLICATIONS) IN ORDER TO AUGMENT WHAT IS PROVIDED BY THE COUNTY ITSELF. HOWEVER, ALL DIRECT MANAGEMENT IS PROVIDED BY EMPLOYEES OF LUCAS COUNTY. |
