CONFLICT OF INTEREST IS ALSO ADDRESSED THROUGH POLICY 106, CORPORATE COMPLIANCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES, VII CONFLICTS OF INTEREST, WHICH READS: A CONFLICT OF INTEREST MAY EXIST WHENEVER AN RBHS/MHRC BOARD MEMBER, LICENSED INDEPENDENT PRACTITIONER (LIP) OR STAFF PERSON, DURING THE COURSE OF THEIR AUTHORIZED ROLE, IDENTIFIES A PREVIOUS/CURRENT RELATIONSHIP OR INTEREST THAT IN THEIR OPINION MAY COMPROMISE THEIR OBJECTIVITY IN DEALING WITH THE MATTER AT HAND. THE BOARD MEMBER, LIP, OR STAFF PERSON IS REQUIRED TO STATE PUBLICLY THE POTENTIAL CONFLICT AND NOT PARTICIPATE, OR, IF NECESSARY, SPEAK TO AN APPROPRIATE SUPERVISOR ABOUT THEIR PERCEPTION OF CONFLICT, WHICH MAY POTENTIALLY PROHIBIT THEIR PARTICIPATION. |
