Part V, Section B, Line 11: Please see attached implementation strategy, adopted and executed by the hospital, for a description of how the hospital is addressing the significant needs identified in its most recently conducted CHNA.The following needs were not addressed for the following reasons:OVERWEIGHT AND OBESITY: UHC has chosen to address this priority through it Behavioral Risk Factor strategies. Both of the strategies aimed at improving health behaviors will also help reduce overweight and obesity rates.HEALTHCARE ACCESS & AVAILABILITY: Now under the direction of Lafayette General Health, the hospital is focused on reviving its service lines and operating at its full potential. Despite its current state of rejuvenation, UHC still serves as the primary charity hospital in the Acadiana region. Once it reaches the appropriate operational capacity and function, UHC hopes to create strategies for new ways to serve the community.
