OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: CHILD CARE FOOD PROGRAM: AS A VITAL PART OF THE FEDERAL SET OF NUTRITION PROGRAMS, THIS ALLOWS FOR SMALL REIMBURSEMENTS FOR HEALTHY MEALS THAT MUST MEET STRICT GUIDELINES. THESE PARTIAL REIMBURSEMENTS WERE PROVIDED FOR OVER 3.9 MILLION MEALS FOR APPROXIMATELY 8,711 CHILDREN SERVED. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: FIRST FIVE PROGRAMS: PROVIDES ADDITIONAL CHILD WELLNESS HOME EDUCATORS. INCLUDES PROGRAMS THAT PROVIDE TRAINING, EDUCATION AND AWARENESS OF HEALTHY LIFESTYLES FOR FAMILIES VIA SEVERAL INITIATIVES UTILIZING HOME VISITATION AND SEMINARS AND CLASSROOM SESSIONS. EARLY SCREENINGS ARE PROVIDED FOR CHILDREN BIRTH TO FIVE AND REFERRALS ARE PROVIDED. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: JOAN RICHARDS LEARNING VILLAGE: CALIFORNIA STATE PRESCHOOL PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES CENTER-BASED EARLY EDUCATION AND SCHOOL READINESS EXPERIENCES FOR OVER 200 CHILDREN AGE THREE TO FIVE. INCOME-ELIGIBLE FAMILIES ARE ENROLLED, PRIORITIZING CHILDREN WHO ARE AT RISK, FOSTER, AND THE LOWEST SOCIO-ECONOMIC STATUS. PROGRAMS INCLUDE PART-DAY EARLY EDUCATION AND FULL-DAY PROGRAMS THAT SUPPORT CHILDREN IN FAMILIES WHO ARE WORKING OR WHO ARE ATTENDING SCHOOL OR VOCATIONAL TRAINING. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: TEEN CENTER: ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH TO PROVIDE PHYSICAL AND LIFE SKILLS DEVELOPMENT OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: EARLY HEAD START-CHILD CARE PARTNERSHIPS: BRIDGES EARLY HEAD START SERVICES WITH CHILD CARE SUPPORTS IN ORDER TO ALLOW CHILDREN, PARENTS, AND PROVIDERS TO BENEFIT FROM STRENGTHS OF EACH SYSTEM. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: 211 SERVICES: 211 IS AN INFORMATION AND REFERRAL LINE THAT CONNECTS RESIDENTS TO HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES PROGRAMS IN THE COMMUNITY. FRRC WAS DESIGNATED THE 211 SERVICE PROVIDER FOR SJ COUNTY BY THE CA PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION. THE COMPREHENSIVE DATABASE IS AVAILABLE AT 211SJ.ORG. OVER 500 CALLS ARE RECEIVED PER MONTH. SERVICE IS AVAILABLE 24 HOURS A DAY/7 DAYS A WEEK IN OVER 200 LANGUAGES. |
