Part I Line 1 LIVE AND LEARN PROVIDES TRAINING AND WRAP-AROUND SUPPORT TO FEMALE VICTIMS OF POVERTY, VIOLENCE AND/OR HOMELESSNESS. LIVE AND LEARN HAS A 90 CAREER TRAINING GRADUATION GOAL AND A 100 FIELD OF STUDY EMPLOYMENT GOAL FOR ALL GRADUATES. THE AGENCY HAS CONSISTENTLY MET THESE GOALS SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 2012. OVER 500 WOMEN HAVE GRADUATED FROM THE LIVE AND LEARN PROGRAM AND FOUND A PATHWAY TO FINANCIAL INDEPENDENCE IN OUR 6 YEARS OF OPERATION. TO SUPPORT OUR GOALS, LIVE AND LEARN OFFERS PERSONALIZED CAREER PLANNING, FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING AND COACHING TO ALL CLIENTS. WE PROVIDE WRAPAROUND SERVICES, SUPPLEMENTED BY MANY INVESTED COMMUNITY PARTNERS, TO ADDRESS POVERTY, DOMESTIC ABUSE AND HOMELESSNESS. WE DO THIS THROUGH MENTORING, FINANCIAL LITERACY SKILL-BUILDING, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND OTHER INTERVENTIONS. OUR ASSISTANCE COVERS SOFT-SKILL BUILDING, TRAINING/EDUCATION COSTS, CERTIFICATION, AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS FOR EMERGENCY EXPENSES THAT COULD OTHERWISE DELAY OR DERAIL PROGRAM COMPLETION. OUR INDIVIDUALIZED SUPPORT CONTINUES - UNIQUELY - OVER A TWO-YEAR PERIOD TO MAXIMIZE SUCCESSFUL OUTCOMES.
Part I Line 1 LIVE AND LEARN OFFERS A SMALL NUMBER OF INDIVIDUAL SCHOLARSHIPS TO A LIMITED NUMBER OF CLIENTS ANNUALLY. THESE ARE SCHOLARSHIPS FUNDED BY DONORS WHO WANT TO RECOGNIZE EXCEPTIONAL ACHIEVEMENT IN OUR CLIENT BASE. SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS ARE BY INVITATION ONLY AND AWARDED BY BOARD OF DIRECTOR VOTE. THE SCHOLARSHIPS ARE TO ASSIST CLIENTS WITH ACHIEVING THEIR CAREER GOALS.
