IN THE CURRENT YEAR, THE ORGANIZATION BEGAN A PSYCHIATRIC-MENTAL HEALTH NURSE PRACTITIONER SPECIALTY TRACK OPTION WHICH IS OFFERED FOR PRACTICING NURSE-MIDWIVES AND NURSE PRACTITIONERS WHO HAVE COMPLETED A MASTER'S DEGREE. STUDENTS CAN COMPLETE A POST-GRADUATE CERTIFICATE WITH THE OPTION TO COMPLETE A DOCTOR OF NURSING PRACTICE (DNP) DEGREE. IN, 2018 THIS OPTION WILL EXPAND TO REGISTERED NURSES SEEKING A MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING (MSN) WITH ENTRY OPTIONS FOR RN'S WITH A BACHELOR'S OR ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN NURSING. STUDENTS WHO COMPLETE THE MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING(MSN) WILL HAVE THE OPTION TO CONTINUE AND COMPLETE A DOCTOR OF NURSING PRACTICE (DNP) DEGREE. STUDENTS WHO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE PROGRAM CAN APPLY FOR THE NATIONAL CERIFICATION EXAM. |

THE CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER MAINTAINS COMPARABILITY DATA AND MAKES RECOMMENDATIONS FOR COMPENSATION FOR OTHER OFFICER'S AND STAFF WHOSE COMPENSATION IS REVIEWED ANNUALLY BY DIRECT SUPERVISORS. THE COMPENSATION IS DOCUMENTED IN THE BUDGET AND THEN APPROVED BY THE BOARD. THIS PROCESS WAS LAST DONE APRIL 2017. |

The school's management reviews form 990 for accuracy and then it is presented to the Finance and Audit committee which consists of FNU management and board members. The final version of the form is then provided to the remaining board members to review before it is submitted to the IRS. |
Form 990, Part VI, Line 12c Conflict of interest policy |
Each Board Member is required to read and sign a conflict of interest policy annually. When any director, principal officer, or board member who has a direct or indirect financial interest in any matter coming before the board of directors, the interested person shall a.) fully disclose the nature of the interest and b.) shall withdraw from the discussion while the determination of conflict of interest is discussed and voted upon. Any transaction or vote involving a potential conflict of interest shall be approved only when a majority of disinterested directors determinethat it is in the best interest of the University to do so. The minutes of the meetings at which such votes are taken shall record such disclosure, abstention and rationale for approval. |

The compensation for the President is reviewed annually by the Executive Compensation Committee and is documented in the minutes of that meeting. The Committee reviews data that documents salary and benefits for College/University President's at similar institutions in Kentucky. This process was last done January 2017. |
