Christina Watershed Municipal Partnership: The CWMP is a collaboration among watershed conservation organizations, county agencies, and municipalities. The over-arching mission of CWMP is to facilitate and support engagement and collaboration of municipalities, landowners and other stakeholders to restore and protect the water quality of streams in the Brandywine Creek, Red Clay Creek and White Clay Creek watersheds. Ellen Kohler, PLC, was contracted to assist the White Clay Watershed Association as the lead coordinator of the multi-municipal collaboration of townships and boroughs in the White Clay watershed. Pollution improvement (TMDL) plans were submitted by each MS4 regulated community to PA DEP in September 2017. The plans are still under review by DEP and no new permits have been issued, but we continue to provide technical assistance and planning support to municipalities, and advance understanding of watershed needs, and opportunities vis a vis regulatory requirements. We also provide regulatory liaison and unified representation, coordination and communication with regulatory agencies.
