Nomination procedure is to: - Post all information on website including submission form - Mail a postcard to the voting membership with nomination submission details - And email the membership with nomination submission details. A ballot is prepared from the submitted nomination forms and sent to the membership in August. Ballot Voting Procedure: - Post all information on website including Electronic Ballot - Mail a postcard to the voting membership with ballot voting details - And email the membership with ballot voting details. |

Changes in bylaws must receive approval from the voting membership. Proposed changes are outlined and mailed to the membership for review. A ballot is included so members can either select to Approve or Not Approve bylaw changes. |

Board members are asked to submit a signed Conflict of Interest form annually at the March board meeting. New Board Members are asked to submit a signed Conflict of Interest form at the New Board Members orientation in December. If a conflict arises, the interest is disclosed or known to the voting members of the board. The voting members of the board approve, authorize, or ratify the action in good faith, by a majority of voting members of the board Not counting the interested Director, at a meeting where a quorum of voting members of the board ispresent not counting the interested Director. The interested Director may be present for discussion to answer questions, but may not advocate for the action to be taken and must leave the room while a vote is taken. The minutes of all actions taken on such matters shall clearly reflect that these requirements have been met. |

During the search for a new Executive Director, the independent search committee looked at salaries for other professionals working in the non-profit world and compared with other Psychology salaries. This provided a starting salary. This process and decision was documented. On an annual basis, the organization primarily reviews the expected income/expenses of the association along with employee evaluations in order to determine if a raise is recommended and if it is financially feasible. |
