The Rotary Club of Katy had 2 Fundraisers during the fiscal year ending 06/30/2019. 1. 9th Annual Wildwest Brewfest was held in the spring where microbrewers purchase a space and bring their craft beers to be sampled by adults. Admission ticets can be purchased online through the brew fest webpage prior to the event or at the gate on the day of event. The ticket holder receives a punch card and wrist band that allows the person to visit brewer's booths for a several ounce sample in exchange for a punch to the card. The card allows for 12 punches. Other independent retailers as well as non-profit organiztions can purchase a space. Entertainment in the form of live bands, games (non-gambling) and contests are part of the days experience. Persons not sampling the beer can also attend. Children enter free if accompanied by an adult and there is an area with "blow-ups" and play equipment and games. Attendees can also participate in a live and silent auction. The primary sources of income are sponsorships, ticket sales and auctions.2. Katy Rice Festival is a community event with food trucks and food booths, retail booths for product sales. Revenue is generated with gate entry fees and booth rental fees.
