THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK IN THE UNITED STATES HAS CAUSED DISRUPTION THROUGHOUT THE ECONOMY AND HAS HAD AN IMPACT ON THE ORGANIZATION. BEGINNING IN MARCH 2019 THE PANDEMIC BEGAN TO IMPACT THE ATTENDANCE OF CLIENTS DUE TO GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS AND THE GENERAL SLOW DOWN OF THE ECONOMY. WHILE THE ACTIVITIES OF THE ORGANIZATION HAVE BEGUN TO RECOVER FROM THE INITIAL IMPACT OF THE PANDEMIC THERE IS CONSIDERABLE UNCERTAINTY IN HOW SOON THE OPERATIONS WILL RETURN TO NORMALCY. IN THE SHORT TERM, IN LIEU OF PROVIDING ON SITE SERVICES WHEN NOT POSSIBLE, THE ORGANIZATION HAS CONTINUED TO SERVE CLIENTS THROUGH TELEPHONE CALLS AND DELIVERING FOOD AND ACTIVITY SUPPLIES TO CLIENTS' HOMES. TO ALLEVIATE THE IMMEDIATE FINANCIAL HARDSHIP CAUSED BY THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, MANAGEMENT APPLIED FOR AND RECEIVED A PAYROLL PROTECTION PROGRAM "PPP" LOAN IN THE AMOUNT OF 734,400 ADMINISTERED BY THE U.S. SMALL BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION. UNDER THE TERMS OF THE LOAN PROGRAM, ALL OR A PORTION OF THE LOAN MAY BE FORGIVEN IF THE LOAN IS USED FOR CERTAIN PURPOSES, INCLUDING PAYROLL COSTS. THERE ARE CERTAIN CRITERIA THAT MUST BE MET TO QUALIFY FOR LOAN FORGIVENESS, BUT BASED ON CURRENT REGULATIONS MANAGEMENT IS HOPEFUL THAT SUBSTANTIALLY ALL OF THE LOAN WILL BE FORGIVEN. |

VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION SERVICES (VR) PROVIDES ASSESSMENT, WORK TRAINING, JOB DEVELOPMENT, JOB PLACEMENT, JOB COACHING AND FOLLOW UP SERVICES TO PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES. THE PROGRAM IS BROKEN DOWN INTO THREE SUBGROUPS: ASSESSMENT, WORK TRAINING, AND EMPLOYMENT COACHING SERVICES. ASSESSMENT -- SERVED 29 INDIVIDUALS GOALS: MAXIMIZE PROGRAM COMPLETERS -- GOAL 85%, ACTUAL 94% MAXIMIZE SATISFACTION WITH SERVICES -- GOAL 90%; ACTUAL 100% WORK TRAINING -- IN FACILITY SERVED 41 INDIVIDUALS GOALS: MAXIMIZE NUMBER WHO RECEIVE A MAJOR BENEFIT (OBTAINED EMPLOYMENT OR READY FOR EMPLOYMENT) -- GOAL 11; ACTUAL 11 MAXIMIZE SATISFACTION WITH SERVICES -- GOAL 90%; ACTUAL 100% MAXIMIZE NUMBER OF 26 CLOSURES -- GOAL 10; ACTUAL 7 EMPLOYMENT COACHING SERVICES (INCLUDES JOB DEVELOPMENT, JOB PLACEMENT AND JOB COACHING SERVICES).
