Form 990, Part III, line 3	Due to the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, CVT pivoted our services to heal survivors of torture in all organizational areas. This meant moving to telehealth therapeutic services domestically and transitioning international clients into smaller group configurations to facilitate social distancing prior to implementing online and telephone services where possible. Capacity building projects provided online technical assistance and training while policy advocacy teams focused on issue intersections associated with COVID-19 on appropriations, refugee and asylum policy, and national security and human rights.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 1	The Executive Committee shall consist of the Chair of the board, Vice Chair, Past Chair, Treasurer, and up to two (2) additional members, to be designated annually by the Board of Directors. The Executive Committee shall act only in the intervals between meetings of the board and shall at all times be subject to the control and direction of the board. The Board of Directors may delegate to such committee any of the powers and authority of the board, except as otherwise prohibited by the bylaws, the articles of incorporation, or the laws of the State of Minnesota. Fifty percent of the Executive Committee shall constitute a quorum of the transaction of any business.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b	The Finance Committee reviews and approves the 990 before it goes to the board prior to filing.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c	All officers, directors, and key employees are required to fill out a conflict of interest form annually. The forms are reviewed by the Board Chair. Any person with a conflict is restricted from discussing or voting on related matters.
Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15	The salaries of the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer are reviewed and approved by the Board of Directors, or the Executive Committee on behalf of the Board, based on comparability data. This process took place in 2018.
