(1) Rental Assistance: After submission and approval of our Application for Financial Assistance, a resident pays a maximum of 20% of income towards rent in a studio designated unit in our facility. 3 6,051 0   Rent reduction shown as a credit (subtraction) on their monthly invoice.
(2) Meal subsidy: This program provides 3 free meals per week for residents who also have qualified for a rental reduction. 3 2,346     Any free meals (limit 3 per week) are subtracted from the meals eaten on their monthly invoice.
(3) Phone Subsidy: The program provides for the BSRC to pay for a basic landline phone in their unit because land line phone service is the most reliable when receiving the signal from the personal (wrist or necklace) alarms we provide all our residents free of charge. This arrangement is put in place for any particular resident who may be somewhat handicapped to the extent that such a device becomes vital to their safety. 1 346     The cost is between $25-$30 per month. They pay the phone bill directly to the provider, and we subtract the amount of that basic landline phone service from their monthly invoice.

Schedule I, Part I, Line 2 Low Income Subsidy Program: The program requires the resident-applicant to complete a Financial Assistance application, which is reviewed, validated, and approved by the Board. The applicant provides their financial information and assets. The information they provide is validated as accurate. Each year, the resident in this program supplies management with an updated copy of their sources of income, such as a copy of their current Social Security benefit. Their rental discount is re-calculated based on the latest income figures.
