LEE PROVIDES TRAINING AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING TO ITS MEMBERS TO FACILITATE THEIR CONTINUED INVESTMENT AND ENGAGEMENT WITH EDUCATION THROUGH CAREERS IN POLICY, ADVOCACY, ORGANIZING, AND ELECTED LEADERSHIP (POLITICS). LEE HELPS MEMBERS WITH THEIR PERSONAL JOURNEY TO IDENTIFY THE EDUCATION ISSUES THEY ARE MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT AND IN WHICH THEY WOULD LIKE TO ENGAGE. BASED ON MEMBERS' CHOSEN CAREER PATHS, LEE STAFF HELP MEMBERS DEVELOP A STORY OF SELF AND SEEK LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES TO AFFECT CHANGE. THROUGH THIS PROCESS, SOME MEMBERS DECIDE THEY WANT TO PURSUE ELECTED OFFICE OR SUPPORT THOSE WHO SEEK ELECTED OFFICE. IF LEE MEMBERS DECIDE THEY WANT TO RUN FOR ELECTED OFFICE, LEE STAFF AND CONSULTANTS PROVIDE LEADERSHIP COACHING ABOUT HOW TO ENGAGE IN THE POLITICAL PROCESS. LEE ALSO PROVIDES CONTRIBUTIONS WHERE PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE CAMPAIGN FINANCE LAWS. LEADERSHIP FOR EDUCATIONAL EQUITY INCLUDED ALL EINS WHICH WERE PROVIDED BY CAMPAIGNS TO LEADERSHIP FOR EDUCATIONAL EQUITY.

MANY OF THE 527 OR PACS PROVIDED WITH FUNDS FROM LEADERSHIP FOR EDUCATIONAL EQUITY WERE INITIAL CAMPAIGNS WHERE BANK ACCOUNTS WERE ESTABLISHED WITH AN INDIVIDUAL'S SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER WHILE THEY WORKED TO OBTAIN A FEDERAL EMPLOYEE IDENTIFICATION NUMBER FOR THEIR CAMPAIGN. THE EIN COLUMN IN THESE CASES HAS BEEN LEFT BLANK IN ORDER TO PROTECT INDIVIDUALS' PERSONAL INFORMATION.
