WE KNOW THAT STRONG MENTAL HEALTH AND A SOLID ACADEMIC BASE ARE ESSENTIAL TO END CYCLES OF STRESS AND POVERTY. TEAM UP ENGAGED THE WHOLE FAMILY, FROM PARENTS TO PRESCHOOLERS AND EVERYONE IN BETWEEN. WITH A FOCUS ON READING AT EACH MENTORING SESSION, OUR ELEMENTARY STUDENTS WERE ABLE TO IMPROVE THEIR LITERACY SKILLS. BECAUSE OF THIS, WE SAW 100% OF TEAM UP STUDENTS MOVE TO THE NEXT GRADE LEVEL IN 2020. HELPING CHILDREN BOUNCE BACK AFTER SETBACKS IS KEY TO OVERCOMING TRAUMA. THAT'S WHY WE ARE CELEBRATING THAT 63% OF TEAM UP STUDENTS WERE MATCHED WITH A LICENSED THERAPIST THIS YEAR. EMPOWERING CLIENTS TO BE IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT OF THEIR OWN LIVES IS CRITICAL TO LONGTERM SUCCESS. THIS YEAR WE'RE EXCITED TO REPORT THAT 87.5% OF TEAM UP GRADUATES ARE EMPLOYED OR PURSUING HIGHER EDUCATION TWO YEARS AFTER LEAVING THE PROGRAM. |
