FORM 990 PART III, LINE 2 New PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTs: Transitional Housing - The Organization implemented a new transitional housing program in September 2020 that provides families and individuals affected by domestic violence and abuse a place where they can heal and rebuild their lives with dignity for up to two years. The transitional housing wing in the new facility is comprised of 12 furnished apartment units co-located with all of Peace House, Inc. support services. Childcare - The Organization will provide a licensed childcare center for children affected by domestic violence and abuse residing on campus or for families that need childcare to attend therapy, case management or legal advocacy appointments. This program will allow parents to work and heal while their children participate in therapeutic play and enrichment activities in a safe environment. THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC DELAYED FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF BOTH THE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING AND CHILDCARE PROGRAMS.
FORM 990 PART III, LINE 4A Peace House offers two types of residential services to survivors of INTERPERSONAL violence and sexual assault and their children. Shelter - Peace House provides emergency shelter for adults and their children when they are escaping domestic violence and need a safe place. The shelter provides temporary safe housing for families while they acquire the resources and support necessary to live their lives free from violence. Peace House served 134 individuals in the emergency shelter with 35% of those being children. 3,791 nights of safe shelter were provided to those families and individuals fleeing abuse. Seventy-four percent of the survivors in Peace House enrolled in the shelter program were able to safely, secure permanent housing after fleeing domestic violence. Transitional Housing - The transitional housing program provides a range of services to help victims and their families obtain and maintain housing. The transitional housing program is comprised of 12 furnished apartment units co-located with all of Peace House support services. Safe, secure housing and wrap around support services offer victims the time up to two years to focus on safety and stability while they rebuild their lives. This support provides a solid foundation as they transition from the program and reintegrate into permanent housing in the community. This year 6 units were occupied with the remaining six expected to come online by early 2022. Peace House provided 8 adults and 4 children a total of 1,153 nights of longer term, safe housing.
FORM 990 PART III, LINE 4B Clinical- PEACE HOUSE CLINICAL PROGRAM OFFERS INDIVIDUAL THERAPY, GROUP THERAPY AND CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES ON AN OUTPATIENT BASIS AND IN THE SHELTER SETTING TO RESIDENTS. The clients served include any person affected by domestic abuse, child abuse survivors and victims, sexual assault survivors and victims, and other clients in the community that recognize symptoms of an unhealthy relationship. Last year, Peace House provided 900 hours of therapy to adult survivors and 223 hours of therapy to children. In addition, Peace House case managers provided case management services to 125 adults for 944 hours. Case managers focus on goals to increase safety and stability by connecting survivors to resources such as housing, employment, childcare, legal assistance, financial assistance and safety planning. Peace House also offers a hospital response program to provide advocacy and support to victims of sexual assault and rape as they receive medical care and a forensic exam from a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner at local hospitals. This year, Peace House attended 28 exams providing emotional support, information on services and victim rights, and resource and referral to sexual assault victims and their families.
FORM 990 PART III, LINE 4C Outreach - Peace House provides all the same out-of-shelter support services to victims of domestic violence and identifies at-risk families to help them avoid domestic violence crisis situations. The bi-lingual program includes education, support groups, crisis intervention, legal advocacy and case management. Peace House served 96 adults with legal advocacy services which included assistance with civil protective orders and stalking injunctions as well as information on victim rights when survivors are navigating the criminal justice system. Psycho-educational groups addressing the dynamics of domestic violence and healthy parenting were provided to over 80 adults this year.

This fiscal year, Peace House had 169 volunteers donate 1,344 hours to support our programs and projects. Childcare - Peace House will provide a licensed childcare center for children affected by domestic violence and abuse residing on campus or for families that need childcare to attend therapy, case management or legal advocacy appointments. This program will allow parents to work and heal while their children participate in therapeutic play and enrichment activities. The childcare center will be open to children from 6 weeks to 10 years of age and serve families residing in the emergency shelter and transitional housing, as well as families utilizing our outpatient counseling and case management services.
