Explanation:
I believed I had filed Form 8868 to request a standard 6-month extension, but I cannot find it in my records (nor in the efile.form990.org interface through which we file), so it seems I did not successfully file for the extension. The main reason I attempted to get an extension, as I did the previous year, and why this filing is now late, is because spring planting season is incredibly busy for me as a farmer and organizer of other farmers. Most of my day-to-day activities throughout the growing season relate to farming and research operations. Therefore, filing in autumn is much less burdensome.
