Form 990, Part III, Line 4d: Other Program Services Description | OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Conservation: All of our interspecies communication materials are designed to be applied to both great ape welfare and conservation. But the conservation crisis for gorillas is local to Africa. Thus, we have been working to curate specific content that we think will be most effective to an African audience, from gorilla poachers to protectors. Kokos late foster brother Michael was born in Africa, and witnessed (and expressed in sign language a story about) his parents being killed by poachers. We have thus been editing this content (books and videos) for eventual delivery to Africa via our new Koko App, which we expect to come to fruition with a tech partner, whom we are vetting now in 2022. |
