CLIENT SERVICES PROGRAM: THE CLIENT SERVICES PROGRAM OFFERS A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO STRENGTHENING FAMILIES BY HELPING IN MULTIPLE WAYS, ALL AT NO COST TO OUR CLIENTS: ONE-ON-ONE COACHING AND SUPPORT SERVICES FOR MALE AND FEMALE CLIENTS HELP BUILD STRONG FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS. COACHES HELP CLIENTS NAVIGATE THEIR UNIQUE CHALLENGING CIRCUMSTANCES BY OFFERING EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND REFERRALS TO IN-HOUSE OR COMMUNITY RESOURCES SPECIFIC TO THE CLIENTS' NEEDS. GROUP CLASSES ON A WIDE RANGE OF TOPICS ARE OFFERED TO CLIENTS AND THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE. ALL CLASSES ARE TAUGHT BY SUBJECT MATTER EXPERTS SUCH AS REGISTERED NURSES (RNS), ATTORNEYS AND LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELORS (LPCS). WE CURRENTLY OFFER MORE THAN 100 CLASSES, IN PERSON AND ONLINE, THAT COVER TOPICS SUCH AS PREGNANCY, PARENTING, HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS, AND PRACTICAL LIFE SKILLS LIKE BUDGETING AND NUTRITION. THE GOAL OF THIS EDUCATION IS TO EQUIP EACH PERSON WITH THE INFORMATION AND SKILLS NEEDED TO OVERCOME PERSONAL AND RELATIONAL BARRIERS TO BECOMING A BALANCED PERSON AND POSITIVE PARENT. OUR CHOICES PROGRAM, WHICH IS OFFERED TO MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN THE SURROUNDING AREA, EDUCATES ABOUT AND ENCOURAGES HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP DECISIONS AND SEXUAL INTEGRITY. WE MEASURE SUCCESS THROUGH THE SATISFACTION OF OUR CLIENTS AS THEY GO THROUGH OUR PROGRAM. IN 2021, ON ONE-ON-ONE CLIENT SATISFACTION SURVEYS, 99% REPORTED THEY WOULD RECOMMEND PCC'S SERVICES AND 99% FELT THEY WERE GIVEN THE HELP THEY NEEDED. ON POST-CLASS SURVEYS, 93% OF ALL ATTENDEES SAID THEY COULD APPLY THE INFORMATION GAINED TO THEIR REAL LIVES AND THAT THE CLASSES HELPED THEM IMPROVE THEIR LIFE SKILLS. MANY OF THE CHILDREN BORN INTO THESE FAMILIES WOULD BE CONSIDERED AT-RISK DUE TO FACTORS INCLUDING SINGLE-PARENT HOUSEHOLDS AND POVERTY. OF THE CLIENTS SERVED IN 2021, 28% REPORTED EARNING LESS THAN $14,000 ANNUALLY, 39% REPORTED BEING A SINGLE-PARENT HOME, 17% HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR LESS, AND 83% REPORTED NOT HAVING ANY HEALTH CARE COVERAGE. PCC HELPS CONNECT OUR CLIENTS TO RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO THEM IN OUR COMMUNITY. THE ONE-ON-ONE COACHING PROGRAM IS ENHANCED BY OUR CONTRACT WITH ALLIANCE FOR LIFE. THEIR CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF MISSOURI THROUGH THE ALTERNATIVES TO ABORTION PROGRAM HAS ALLOWED US TO PROVIDE $75,077 IN DIRECT ASSISTANCE TO ELIGIBLE CLIENTS TO HELP THEM OVERCOME SPECIFIC BARRIERS IN THEIR PREGNANCY DECISIONS. WE CONTINUED OUR INFANT SAFETY CARE PROGRAM TO ADDRESS RISK FACTORS FOR INFANT DEATH, INCLUDING SLEEP AND TRANSPORTATION SAFETY. AS PART OF THIS PROGRAM, OUR CLIENTS CAN EARN THEIR CHOICE OF A BRAND-NEW CAR SEAT OR PORTABLE CRIB BY COMPLETING FIVE IN-PERSON COACHING SESSIONS AND FIVE CORE CLASSES. THESE PARENTS ALSO RECEIVE SAFE SLEEP AND TRAVEL EDUCATION AS WELL AS HANDS-ON INSTRUCTION ON PROPER USE OF CAR SEATS AND PORTABLE CRIBS. IN 2021, 56 CLIENTS EARNED INFANT SAFETY EQUIPMENT THROUGH THIS PROGRAM. IN ADDITION, BEGINNING IN AUGUST 2021, IN COLLABORATION WITH COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP OF THE OZARKS AND CHILDREN'S TRUST FUND, WE WERE ABLE TO OFFER ANOTHER SAFE SLEEP CLASS THAT ALLOWS CLIENTS TO EARN A BRAND-NEW PORTABLE CRIB. IN 2021, 36 CLIENTS COMPLETED THIS CLASS. IN 2021, COVID-19 REGULATIONS IMPOSED CAPACITY RESTRICTIONS ON OUR GROUP CLASS SIZES, WHICH WE OFFERED IN-PERSON AND ON ZOOM, WHICH ALLOWED OUR CLIENTS TO STAY SAFE AND STILL COMPLETE THE PROGRAM. GOALS FOR THE CLIENT SERVICES PROGRAM INCLUDE ADDING A FATHERHOOD DIRECTOR TO CONTINUE TO EXPAND OUR FATHERHOOD PROGRAM. IN 2021, WE CONVERTED A WING OF OUR BUILDING INTO A MALE-CENTERED SPACE. WE HAVE SEEN PROGRESS TOWARDS BROADENING THE CLIENT DEMOGRAPHIC WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE EDUCATION PROGRAM. OUR CLASSES OFFER USEFUL INFORMATION FOR ANYONE DESIRING TO BE A BETTER PERSON OR PARENT, NOT JUST THOSE IN CRISIS SITUATIONS. WE HAVE PLANS TO ADD ANOTHER SAFE SLEEP CLASS THAT IS MORE GEARED TO THIS DEMOGRAPHIC IN 2022. |

MEDICAL SERVICES PROGRAM: THE AGE OF OUR ULTRASOUND MACHINE WAS A CONCERN. IN 2021, THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS DONATED A BRAND-NEW MACHINE TO US. WE WERE ABLE TO DONATE OUR OLD MACHINE TO ANOTHER PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTER TO ALLOW THEM TO SERVE THEIR CLIENTS WITH ULTRASOUNDS. CLIENTS SEEKING ABORTIONS ARE SEEKING CHEMICAL ABORTION ("ABORTION PILLS") MORE OFTEN THAN SURGICAL PROCEDURES AND EARLIER IN THEIR PREGNANCIES. OUR GOAL IS TO ADAPT OUR CLIENT SERVICE APPROACH TO BETTER MEET THE NEEDS OF THESE CLIENTS; FOR EXAMPLE, CONNECTING THEM WITH OUR NURSE TEAM FOR A CONSULT EARLIER IN THE PROCESS TO ANSWER THEIR QUESTIONS ABOUT THE SAFETY OF A SELF-ADMINISTERED ABORTION. |

COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAM: IN 2021, WE WERE ABLE TO LAUNCH OUR NEW CAMPUS AMBASSADOR PROGRAM. WITH FOUR MAJOR COLLEGE CAMPUSES IN SPRINGFIELD, OUR AIM WITH THIS PROGRAM IS TO REACH STUDENTS RIGHT WHERE THEY LIVE AND INFORM THEM ABOUT OUR SERVICES. CURRENTLY, WE HAVE ONE TEAM MEMBER WHO IS DEDICATED TO CREATING RELATIONSHIPS AND ATTENDING CAMPUS-SPECIFIC EVENTS TO INCREASE OUR VISIBILITY TO THIS IMPORTANT DEMOGRAPHIC. IN 2021, COVID-19 CONTINUED TO MAKE IN-PERSON EVENTS DIFFICULT, WHICH COMPELLED US TO PUT EVEN MORE EMPHASIS ON OUR ONLINE PRESENCE. WITHOUT THE ABILITY TO ATTEND MANY PHYSICAL EVENTS, WE TURNED TO SOCIAL MEDIA AND DIGITAL ADVERTISING STRATEGIES. THIS ALLOWED US TO KEEP OUR COMMUNITY AWARE OF OUR SERVICES AND MISSION. IN 2021, THESE RESOURCES HELPED AND EQUIPPED MORE THAN 61,00 COMMUNITY MEMBERS. OUR OVERARCHING GOAL IS FOR EVERY TEEN AND ADULT WITHIN PCC'S SERVICE AREA TO KNOW ABOUT THE SERVICES WE OFFER AND THE WAYS IN WHICH WE CAN HELP IF THEY OR SOMEONE THEY KNOW IS FACING UNPLANNED PREGNANCY. WE WANT OUR FELLOW CITIZENS TO KNOW THERE IS HOPE AND PRACTICAL HELP AVAILABLE TO THEM AND THEIR CHILDREN, EVEN WHEN THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES FEEL IMPOSSIBLE TO THEM. WE NEVER PROFIT FROM OUR CLIENTS' CHOICES AND EXIST SIMPLY TO SAVE LIVES AND STRENGTHEN FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY, WHICH ULTIMATELY BENEFITS US ALL. |
