PART I LINE 2: PRIOR TO GRANTING FUNDS TO ANY FOREIGN ORGANIZATION, BBGF RECEIVES ENGLISH TRANSLATED COPIES OF GOVERNING DOCUMENTS, DETAILED FINANCIAL REPORTING, PROGRAM ACTIVITIES, AND OTHER PRE-GRANT INFORMATION CONCERNING THE KEY OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS. BBGF PERFORMS OFAC SCREENINGS FOR ALL POTENTIAL FOREIGN GRANTEES. FOLLOWING REVIEW AND ASSESSMENT OF THE FOREGOING, BBGF THEN WORKS WITHOUT OUTSIDE COUNSEL TO MAKE A DETERMINATION AS TO WHETHER EACH FOREIGN GRANTEE IS EQUIVALENT OF A PUBLIC CHARITY UNDER US LAW. BBGF ONLY GRANTS FUNDS TO FOREIGN ORGANIZATIONS THAT EITHER HAVE AN IRS DETERMINATION LETTER EVIDENCING PUBLIC CHARITY STATUS OR HAVE BEEN DETERMINED TO BE EQUIVALENT TO A PUBLIC CHARITY THROUGH AN EQUIVALENCY DETERMINATION MADE IN ACCORDANCE WITH REV.
