"OWNERSHIP INTEREST" MEANS SERVING AS A BOARD DIRECTOR OR OFFICER OR OWNING MORE THAN 5% OF THE BUSINESS OR CORPORATION. 4. HAVING AN IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER OR SIGNIFICANT OTHER WHO HOLDS AN OWNERSHIP INTEREST IN A COMPANY WITH WHOM PIKEVILLE MEDICAL CENTER DOES BUSINESS WHICH MAY LEAD TO THE INDIVIDUAL'S PERSONAL GAIN/BENEFIT. "OWNERSHIP INTEREST" MEANS SERVING AS A BOARD DIRECTOR OR OFFICER OR OWNING MORE THAN 5% OF THE BUSINESS OR CORPORATION. 5. HAVING AN IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER OR SIGNIFICANT OTHER EMPLOYED BY THE PIKEVILLE MEDICAL CENTER AND WORKING WITHIN THE SAME DIRECT LINE OF AUTHORITY (ABOVE OR BELOW) AS THE FIRST EMPLOYEE. IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS INCLUDE SPOUSES, ANCESTORS, CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN, GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, BROTHERS AND SISTERS AND THE SPOUSES OF THOSE INDIVIDUALS. PMC CONTINUES TO FOCUS ON THE BROADENING ONCOLOGY SERVICES AVAILABLE TO THE PATIENTS IN OUR REGION AND IS CURRENTLY DESIGNING AN ADDITIONAL 7,085 SQUARE FEET EXPANSION OF LCC TO PROVIDE PRIVATE CHEMO SUITES AND ADDITIONAL DIAGNOSTIC CAPABILITIES. PRIOR TO PMC OPENING THE SPECIALTY PHARMACY IN SEPTEMBER 2020, PATIENTS OFTEN HAD TO SEARCH FOR WAYS TO RECEIVE THEIR SPECIALTY MEDICATION. NOW, A TEAM OF DEDICATED PROFESSIONALS AT PMC ASSISTS PATIENTS WITH PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS AND INSURANCE QUESTIONS IN ADDITION TO DISPENSING THE SPECIALIZED MEDICATION. PMC UTILIZES EFFICIENT PROCEDURES, OVERNIGHT SHIPPING, AND MEDICINE DELIVERY TO EXPEDITE THE PROCESS, ALLOWING PATIENTS TO RECEIVE NEEDED SPECIALTY MEDICATION MORE QUICKLY. PMC'S SPECIALTY PHARMACY FILLED 5,210 PRESCRIPTIONS DURING FY 2022. PIKEVILLE MEDICAL CENTER COMPLETED IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EPIC ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD (EHR) SYSTEM DURING FY 2022. EPIC IS A HIPPA COMPLIANT CLOUD BASED EHR SOLUTION BUILT FOR HOSPITALS WITH THE FUNCTIONALITY TO HANDLE THE DAY-TO-DAY OPERATIONS OF A PRACTICE, INCLUDING PATIENT MEDICAL RECORDS. EPIC SOFTWARE CATERS TO A NUMBER OF SPECIALTIES AND IS USED ACROSS A BROAD RANGE OF PRACTICES, FROM COMMUNITY HOSPITALS AND INDEPENDENT PRACTICES TO MULTI-SPECIALTY HOSPITAL GROUPS. EPIC HAS A STRONG FOCUS ON PATIENT ENGAGEMENT AND FACILITATING REMOTE CARE VIA TELEHEALTH. THE INTEGRATED EPIC CHARTING SYSTEM INCLUDES PATIENT RECORDS AND ANALYTICS FUNCTIONALITY ALLOWING HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS TO DELIVER COMPREHENSIVE QUALITY PATIENT CARE.
