THE ORGANIZATION AMENEDED THE ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION TO INCLUDE LANGUAGE REQUIRED FOR 501(C)(3) EXEMPT STATUS. THE FOLLOWING WAS ADDED: THIS CORPORATION IS ORGANIZED EXCLUSIVELY FOR CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION: (I) THE FOSTERING, PROMOTING, SPONSORING, AND PRESENTING OF CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, ATTRACTIONS, AND ENTERTAINMENT (AND MATTERS INCIDENTAL THERETO) IN OR ON PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, OR OTHER LOCATIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, FOR THE GENERAL INTELLECTUAL AND PHYSICAL IMPROVEMENT AND WELFARE OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, AND THE SURROUNDING AREA WHICH SHALL ADD TO THE QUALITY OF LIFE OF THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS; AND (II) ANY OTHER ACTIVITIES SPECIFICALLY AUTHORIZED BY THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, WHICH MAY ASSIST THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, IN PERFORMING ANY ACTIVITIES THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, CONSIDERS TO BE ITS BURDEN OR RESPONSIBILITY. NONE OF THE ORGANIZATION'S NET INCOME SHALL INURE TO THE BENEFIT OF ANY PRIVATE INDIVIDUAL, BUT ALL SUCH NET INCOME SHALL BE APPROPRIATED, EXPENDED, OR RESERVED IN FURTHERANCE OF THE ABOVE STATED PURPOSES. UPON DISSOLUTION OF THE ORGANIZATION, AFTER PAYMENT OF ALL OF THE ORGANIZATION'S DEBTS AND OBLIGATIONS, ALL OF ITS REMAINING ASSETS SHALL VEST IN AND BE DISTRIBUTED TO THE CITY OF LUBBOCK, TEXAS, FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES.
