Return Reference Explanation
PART I, LINE 2: NWP USES A MULTIPLICITY OF MONITORING METHODS FOR KEEPING TRACK OF ITS GRANT RECIPIENTS AND THE GRANT DELIVERABLES TO ENSURE THAT THE GRANT FUNDS ARE USED FOR PROPER PURPOSES. ONE PRIMARY METHOD IS A GRANT REPORTING CYCLE MADE UP OF FINANCIAL, STATISTICAL, AND NARRATIVE DETAILS OUTLINING WHAT WAS ACCOMPLISHED WITH EACH GRANT. IN ADDITION, NWP HAS A TEAM OF STAFF ENGAGED IN TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE THAT INCLUDES MONITORING AND SUPPORT OF GRANT RECIPIENTS' ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS ANNUAL REVIEW OF THEIR A-133 SINGLE AUDIT REPORTING. SENIOR PROGRAM LEADERS SOMETIMES PERFORM SITE VISITS TARGETED AT RECIPIENTS NEEDING MORE IN-DEPTH SUPPORT, SUCH AS NEW RECIPIENTS; AS WELL AS HOLD NATIONAL OR GRANT-SPECIFIC CONVENINGS OF SITES, AND IN THE PROCESS VERIFY PROGRAMMATIC AND PROJECT COMPLIANCE, INCREASE EFFECTIVENESS, DISSEMINATE SUCCESSFUL PRACTICES, AND NEGOTIATE REMEDIATION, IF NEEDED.
