MIND&MELODY PROVIDED IN-PERSON AND ONLINE MUSIC PROGRAMS TO CHILDREN AND SENIORS WITH NEUROLOGICAL IMPAIRMENTS. WE DELIVERED OVER 2,534 MUSIC SESSIONS, SERVED OVER 1,344 PARTICIPANTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, AND WORKED WITH VARIOUS LONG-TERM CARE FACILITIES, COMMUNITY CENTERS, AND SCHOOLS. WE WORKED WITH 32 MUSICIAN CONTRACTORS WHO FACILITATED OUR PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. PARTICIPANTS IN OUR PROGRAMS SHOW ENGAGEMENT DURING OUR MUSIC SESSIONS IN CORRESPONDENCE TO THEIR COGNITIVE LEVELS. PARTICIPANTS SMILE, DANCE, PLAY INSTRUMENTS, SING, AND SHARE MEMORIES AND STORIES. THE IMPACT WE ARE CREATING GOES BEYOND THE ROOM WHERE OUR WORK TAKES PLACE AND INTO THE WORLD BY MOLDING OUR TEAM AND THE PEOPLE WE INTERACT WITH INTO EMPATHETIC, LOVING HUMAN BEINGS THAT SEE THE VALUE THAT SOMEONE LIVING WITH DEMENTIA CAN STILL BRING INTO THIS WORLD.
