Return Reference Explanation
Amended return information In July 2022 a New Executive Director was employed by Second Stage Amherst, Inc. The previous employee left 5/31/22. New Director started working late July 2022. As the director started to apply for grants in early 2023 she became aware that a tax return for 2021-2022 had not been done. Reports were gather and given to Gale Quick who started a return. Only to find that due to inconsistent bookkeper and bookkeeping the director discovered items that were improperly posted to accounts. She hired someone to do a Review and many misplaced entries were found. During the Review it was decided that going back to Year 2020-2021 would have to be done to correct the accounting forward to present day. The Amended return is a result of Second Stage Amherst,Inc. correcting the records going forward. THE CHANGES THAT OCCURRED WAS IN TOTAL PAYROLL AND OTHER EXPENSES. THE PAYROLL TAX WAS INCLUDED ON AN OTHER EXPENSE LINE INSTEAD OF THE TOTAL WAGES LINE. WE ALSO CLEARED AN ERROR WITH ACCUMULATED DEPRECIATION. ADDITIONAL BOARD OF DIRECTOR MEMBERS WERE ADDED RO THE SHORT LIST ON THE ORIGINAL RETURN.
