OTHER GRANTS ARE MONITORED IN VARIOUS WAYS, INCLUDING REIMBURSING ACTUAL SUBSTANTIATED EXPENSES, REQUIRING WRITTEN REPORTS, AND/OR VISITING SITES OF ACTIVITIES FUNDED BY COLLEGE GRANTS.
Schedule I, Part I, Line 2 Procedures for monitoring use of grant funds. The college diligently adheres to federal, state, donor and institutional regulations when assessing eligibility for scholarships, prizes and grants. The college maintains comprehensive records detailing selection criteria, recipient qualifications, fund utilization guidelines, and any relevant affiliations. Prior to disbursing grants to external entities, the college meticulously verifies the recipients' eligibility for tax-deductible charitable contributions. Grants distributed by the office of financial aid are promptly credited to student accounts, simplifying the process for recipients. For other grants, the college employs various monitoring techniques, including reimbursing only verified expenses, mandating written progress reports and conducting on-site visits to assess the activities funded by the grants. This rigorous oversight ensures the responsible and effective use of college grants.
