I saw “Joker.” It’s troubling. Part “King of Comedy” part “Taxi Driver.” Unsettling and mirthless. There’s a chilling message in it. In a world of so little empathy, such greed, such imbalance, the desperate and mirthless will turn to clown kings for salvation.
