@ThomasW423 I recall hobbits being rather capitalistic, with an agrarian market economy and fairly robust property rights in real estate and inheritance planning. Frodo inherited Bag End, one of the finest Hobbit Holes in the Shire, and he employed at least a gardener to tend it, Samwise.
