In "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band", none of the Beatles was actually Sgt. Pepper. It was a concept, a façade to elicit a certain mood and say something about it. That's where "Solar Power" hits me. It's lush, calming, feel good songs on the surface, but underneath...

In the lyrics there's a darker undercurrent of classic Lorde, a limnal question about the kind of life constructed from carefree sundresses, exotic vacations and sage burning yurt retreats. Is the millionaire 20-something GOOP-like path to new age enlightenment all there is?

The album leaves that question hanging just out of reach, maybe beyond even the couscous examination of the artist. But I prefer to view the escapism as a stage in development, as different as the raw defiance that brought us "Royals". Sooner or later, every wellness retreat ends

I sympathize here with the drivers who were putting labor into a system with certain expectations that no longer exists, with no clear replacement. I want those drivers to have more, not to bring back the old system It's worth asking that question.

Do you think covid will skip you because you're "not a challenge"? It would be significantly worse, possibly requiring hospitalization, exposing nurses and doctors

@printtemps Clearly not the spirit of this post, but if you *did* want to get a really good neutral white balance photo, I use the free version of Focos, and I have read the free version of Lightroom also allows WB adjustment, but I didn't feel like logging into a new thing to check.
