One question for all those with negative comments. How many of you thought Trump would win in 2016 ?

Can someone tell me a compelling reason why the impeachment proceedings are being held behind closed doors on taxpayer dollars ? This after Democrats screamed about a lack of transparency in the redaction of Mueller’s report. Some people in our party are truly hypocrites.

What i don’t understand & also disagree with is the decision not to impeach Trump on a cut & dry violation of the emoluments clause circa 2016. Numbers don’t lie. Had enforced the constitution & protected taxpayers then we’d maybe never have reached this dismal point.

A politician has a voice - they can use it to fight lies. That’s the balance. We don’t censor political speech in the United States- but they do in China, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, Iran and everywhere else democracy has been crushed.

1st Am protects the freedom of speech, especially political speech. Politicians aren’t as protected by libel or slander laws- for a good reason- so they may be freely criticized. Govt laws requiring corps censor political speech is a slippery slope & if corrupted, we all lose.
