Through the state's Syndromic Surveillance System, @CTDPH facilitated the real-time dissemination of data being reported by emergency room personnel, such as symptoms & ages, among the city’s emergency response agencies. This provided a better sense of the scope of the situation.
In addition to state staff, @CTDMHAS engaged its network of community providers and deployed health professionals to assist the responders with on-the-ground support. A cadre of professionals assisted in triage, administering naloxone, and sending ppl to the hospital as needed.
