My statement on the Administration's decision to terminate AGOA eligibility for Ethiopia, Guinea and Mali: https://t.co/ZZqokycOsZ
CM @RepGregoryMeeks: Governments that commit gross violations of human rights, fail to make progress on reforms & shun the rule of law should not enjoy @AGOAinfo trade preference benefits. I support @POTUS’ decision to terminate the eligibility of Ethiopia, Guinea and Mali.
There is no military solution to this crisis. Ethiopia’s leaders must take steps to cease hostilities, protect civilians, and allow humanitarians to save lives in Northern Ethiopia.
CM @RepGregoryMeeks: Between @PMAbiy’s call to arms as Dessie and Kombolcha are captured, and Gen. Tsadkan’s (TPLF) refusal to negotiate an end to war, Ethiopia’s people continue to suffer 1 year into this crisis. https://t.co/dEq3Bsni2L
