The National Defense Authorization Act is one of the most important bills Congress does every year. We’ve gotten it done for 62 years in a row, almost always with bipartisan support. Let’s make it 63. I hope @SenSchumer will bring the #FY23NDAA to the floor soon.
I’ve heard rumors @DeptofDefense is considering plans to downgrade support to @USAfricaCommand. I strongly oppose this. AFRICOM needs more resources, not fewer. I was glad to secure commitments from nominees to lead AFRICOM & SOCOM to ensure we have the support we need there.
