(20) I'm in Congress, I'd totally be on the short list. I mean, c'mon! Then, it would probably turn into a rock-paper-scissors contest between me and Jerry Nadler (a Fordham Law alumni duel!) for the prize of manager! Ha! Joking aside, this real folks. This is historic, and it is

(21) a feature of our constitutional design (like a cyber-security system) that should be exercised carefully and cautiously to remove a President.

Let's just let these numbers sink in for a moment. The El Paso shooting was the 21st mass killing in the United States in 2019. 24 hours later, the Dayton shooting becomes the 22nd mass killing this year. The first 20 mass killings in 2019 claimed 96 lives. #newvoicescongress

(15) to have to work very hard for as much bipartisanship to convince the American people that impeachment is warranted. Note, here, that I do believe impeachment is warranted!

(10) The full House could technically drop one or more of the Articles of Impeachment, but that's unlikely. So whatever Jerry N. and his committee sends to the full House in its recommendation will be final. The House will typically then vote on the articles. There is another...

At a very young age, I learned the value of listening by growing up in a foster home with 10 siblings—mindfully hearing what another person had to say was the norm. Today, the ability to listen is central my work as a candidate for Congress, educator, lawyer and activist.

@writeguyrich Thanks for asking, Rich. I spent time in multiple homes at a young age and then landed in a large foster home along with 11 children. Of the 11 foster kids, 8 were adopted, including me, over a 10 year span of time.

This man, Bob Dickinson, pulled me from the foster care system 30 years ago and into his home with 10 other foster kids — only to later adopt me and 7 others because he felt it was his calling and duty to provide a safe space for Pittsburgh’s most vulnerable children. #FathersDay https://t.co/Q554PNUf8D

(6) Where does the evidence come from you might ask? Well, grand jury evidence for one thing. And certainly investigations by Nadler's committee staff and perhaps other sources. Testimony is fair game as well. This raises an interesting question as to subpoena, as we've seen...

(6) But of course as we know Article 2 Section 4 of the Constitution detailing impeachment has nothing to do with the federal criminal code. It predated federal statutes. The Founders, at the time, did not conceive of a federal criminal code. So @RepJerryNadler avoiding words...

(5) investigation and recommendation. Although this is not required. My gut tells my Pelosi will hand off to Rep. Nadler (a fellow Fordham Law alum! woo!) as Chair of the Judiciary Committee to undertake the process. Next up, Nadler and the committee hear evidence....

1/5 #COVID19 has revealed the deepest underlying inequalities in America, from environmental injustice to the affordability crisis. These problems weren't caused by COVID19, they are being exposed.

2/5 Air pollution can make #COVID19 infections worse and make it spread faster. Pittsburgh has some of the worst air pollution in America and it has a disproportionate impact on communities of color. Pollution is killing us and we must act now. https://t.co/pH3JCCk2LA

3/5 Millions of Americans are forced to pay more than half their wages in rent and often relied on low-wage jobs in the hardest hit industries. Now, they face homelessness because of #COVID19. We need better wages and more affordable homes now. https://t.co/oddM1cNGQF

4/5 On top of all this, there is strong evidence that black Americans face alarmingly high rates of #COVID19 infections because of entrenched inequalities in access to jobs, healthcare, and resources. https://t.co/BbyvLArLiA
