Happy to announce that I have been endorsed by @UPFFACt and @IAFFofficial. Appreciate all who joined us today at the New London fire station. I will continue supporting our local firefighters and helping them secure the necessary resources to keep our #CT02 communities safe. https://t.co/jdT1Ot9LmZ
Thank you to the @hebrondems & @WaterfordDems for organizing such great events over the weekend! https://t.co/XnTKZo1dRc
The site of the future National Coast Guard Museum is getting ready for construction to kick-off.➡️ Proud to support this years-long effort every step of the way and will keep it up as work moves forward in New London. https://t.co/TbpHQemvAm
Recently our district’s battle against crumbling foundations reached a major milestone: 600 foundations repaired. This was a true team effort, with federal, state, and local agencies and grassroots partners working together. https://t.co/pzQspRVvjh https://t.co/qkrp2RPzEB
David and Sherri are Navy veterans themselves, and they draw on that experience to assist others on issues related to care and benefits. My office helps to connect CT-02 veterans with the services and benefits they’ve earned. Give us a call at (860) 886-0139.
We’ve got amazing public servants across eastern CT who serve our veteran community. This week, David Macaffrey and Sherri Marquis of the Somers Veterans Affairs Department received well-deserved Community Service awards in recognition of their tireless work. https://t.co/X3E3mQFEeV

Thousands of public servants in CT have taken advantage of the limited #PSLF waiver and had millions in student loans forgiven. The waiver expires on October 31st. Don’t wait to apply. https://t.co/DneeDlL3p3 https://t.co/vsyJkqvjeP
An important piece of our transition to clean energy is decarbonizing our transportation sector. Excited to share that Southeast Area Transit is receiving $20 million to help transition to zero-emission busses—thanks to the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. https://t.co/BVjASnNeAt
I’ll work with anyone who’s serious about getting things done for eastern Connecticut. This year, @CongressmanGT and I teamed up to introduce the School Milk Nutrition Act—a bipartisan bill to give a boost to dairy farmers and get kids nutritious milk options in school lunches. https://t.co/fL4LVglDKH
Today, he works as the School Resource Officer at Simsbury High School and volunteers as the director of the Simsbury Police Cadets. Thank you for your service, Trevor, and congratulations on a well-deserved retirement.
This month, we’re celebrating the distinguished 25-year career of CT Army National Guard member Sergeant First Class Trevor Brittell. SFC Brittell served our nation over 2 tours in the Middle East & trained National Guard members at the Regional Training Center in Camp Niantic. https://t.co/qNoYNi8sgl
After returning home, Merchant Marines were shockingly denied benefits in the G.I. Bill and from the VA. They also did not receive proper recognition from the U.S. Government for their service to our military and our allies.
It was a privilege to present a long-overdue Congressional Gold Medal to WWII Merchant Marine Russell Inzinga. Russell was one of nearly 250,000 Merchant Marines who undertook the dangerous mission of transporting troops through German U-boat infested and air patrolled waters. https://t.co/5DZZo0NZnx
In 2020, we passed the WWII Merchant Marines Congressional Gold Medal Act and presented the Gold Medal to all Merchant Marines at a ceremony last Spring. The past weekend, at 101 years old, Russell finally received his medal from the nation he bravely served 80 years prior.
Today marks 1 year since @RepGallagher, @RepDerekKilmer, @RepBlakeMoore, and I founded the AUKUS Working Group. We’ve already started to see results, and we’ll keep pressing ahead in bipartisan fashion.
A “little” rain couldn't stop the Columbia DTC from hosting a phenomenal ice cream social yesterday! It was great to see my friends and colleagues @SusanForCT, @CathyOsten, @StephanieforCT, & Mary Ann Hansen! Thank you for the delicious ice cream and thanks to all who joined us! https://t.co/KRYZxkxh2y
Thank you to all who joined including my friends and colleagues @StephanieforCT, @FaroukRajab, and the Plainfield DTC! https://t.co/KcW4fqgCRw
