It was great to see incredible the work of young CT-02 artists at our 2022 Congressional Art Competition reception. The winning piece, Parabola, by Alexander Lara of Haddam-Killingworth High School, will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol building. Fantastic work, Alexander! https://t.co/rmwUywTDQI

The bravery and determination of the Ukrainian people have staved off Putin’s armies for nearly three months. In Congress, we’re united in authorizing the support they need to continue defending their sovereignty and their homeland.
Last night, I was proud to help pass a bipartisan bill to provide a fresh round of emergency military, humanitarian, and economic aid to #Ukraine. #SupportforUkraine https://t.co/qUKgYurwwX
Local restaurants need our continued support. The Senate should pass our House bill to replenish the Restaurant Revitalization Fund ASAP.
Through programs funded by the #AmericanRescuePlan, Lighthouse Bakery in Mystic received the support it needed to stay open during the pandemic. https://t.co/TrOhz7BBPj
Five months into 2022, we’ve secured some important wins for eastern Connecticut veterans – and our work isn’t slowing down. Stay up to date on the latest news with our Veterans Newsletter. Sign up to receive it here: https://t.co/nl3ZKLEGzY. https://t.co/IUb3Uutb7A
During the greatest health crisis in over 100 years, nurses have stepped up as frontline. They save lives, and we’re so lucky to have them serving our communities. On #NationalNursesDay, I’m showing my appreciation for their service and recognizing their sacrifices. https://t.co/lfyoTUpYWm
Make no mistake about it – Alito's mocking language targeting the ‘unenumerated rights’ of women and doctors is not just an attack on reproductive choice, it’s an attack on the ‘unenumerated rights’ the Court cited for contraceptives, interracial marriage, and same sex marriage.
At a time when more than 60% of Americans of all backgrounds still back the Court’s decision in Roe vs. Wade, this decision, if it holds, would do exactly that.
As Sandra Day O’Connor – a Reagan appointee – warned decades ago, the Supreme Court and our nation will pay a ‘bitter price’ if the Court adopts this holding that will further deepen division in this country.
The draft Supreme Court opinion released last night, if accurate, is a full-throated attack on Supreme Court case law that has been painstakingly built over decades to protect the right of privacy for all Americans.
I’ve heard from many people in eastern Connecticut that the high prices for home heating oil are too much for them to afford. This program from HHS is providing help to households in need.
CT residents struggling with the current high cost of heating oil and other home energy bills now have more time to apply for assistance through a @HHSGov program. The deadline to apply for this season is now June 30th. ️ To apply, contact your local Community Access Program.⬇️ https://t.co/jZCuRj7eol
The American Rescue Plan’s Restaurant Revitalization Fund provided support to hundreds of local restaurants in Connecticut. The House recently passed a bill to replenish it for those restaurants who missed out before funding ran dry. Now, it's time for the Senate to pass it too!
When submarines are produced in Groton, manufactures from across our region play critical roles in getting them in top shape for our Navy. Last week, I visited Shelby Supply Co in Tolland – which provides key components to Electric Boat and has grown significant in recent years. https://t.co/iD7epWtTnF
The American Rescue Plan has provided direct support to cities and towns across CT-02 – helping businesses stay open and critical services stay operational during the pandemic. It was great to see how some of the funding has been put to use in Madison.
I wrapped up my day at the Madison Ambulance Facility. They used American Rescue Plan resources to complete phase 1 of repairs to their HVAC system. They’ve also ordered an oxygen refill station that allows for easier refill of oxygen tanks for emergency response. https://t.co/eio6ZSmhy5
During the pandemic, the Madison Senior Center’s Meals on Wheels program saw a sizeable increase in demand. ARP funding allowed them to maintain a fully operational program, providing a critical service to seniors. https://t.co/kTHdWx0ypz
At American Legion Hall, I had a chance to see the newly renovated exterior of the building. When revenue dropped due to a lack of fundraising opportunities, American Rescue Plan funding allowed them to get the much-needed renovation project over the line. https://t.co/g1axZhtxxw
