We have more than 600,000 Louisianans living with diabetes. Its the 7th highest cause of death in Louisiana and costs about $5.7 billion per year. Insulin is over 100 years old and costs less that $10 to produce. So yes, I would gladly vote to cap insulin costs at $35.
