I had a great time tonight speaking with the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Indianapolis about the important of #BlackHistory — past, present and future! #BlackHistoryMonth https://t.co/ArkAHBdIsa
We won't be deterred by yesterday's setback in the Senate on #votingrights. This priority is too big to give up. The strength of our Democracy depends on securing the right to vote for every American, and we will get it done together.
Ahead of the big game, we had a great discussion with student athletes at @MSDDecatur about the importance of sports in education. Studies show that playing sports provides immense benefits for students, which is why we must strengthen these opportunities for all of our kids.
Thank you to students and staff at @MSDDecatur who gave a big Hoosier welcome to @SecCardona from @usedgov. He's in town to help honor America's educators in conjunction with the National Championship Game, being held here tonight. https://t.co/bkg6WX6fv0
This morning, I was happy to help out at @ymcaindy’s annual toy drive. Thank you to this great organization and to all the volunteers who helped make the season brighter for thousands of Hoosier families. https://t.co/o2QLdEcO4N
Last evening, on the steps of the U.S. Capitol, My colleagues and I in @TheBlackCaucus held a vigil for justice and called on the Senate to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. We must protect this sacred right. https://t.co/C6vtFX5n5Q
I'm honored to help chair today’s critical @TransportDems oversight hearing on cyber threats to our infrastructure. https://t.co/zHOMAHWSZc

Our transportation systems are only as strong as our people and our workers. In a place like Indiana, the Crossroads of America, we must address our roads and rails, but also the people who move the goods America needs.
Today’s @TransportDems hearing on #SupplyChain Challenges is not just focusing on more efficient movement of goods and materials, but improving our human infrastructure too.
Hoosiers will benefit from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal for years to come. It will soon be signed into law, and will begin helping our state #BuildBackBetter. I'm honored to have voted for this landmark legislation. https://t.co/z0FUm2Y42U
Wonderful news! This increase is love overdue. I commend the Biden Administration for taking action to improve the financial well-being of millions of beneficiaries in Indiana and across America. QT @NBCNews: BREAKING: Social Security checks going up by 5.9%, the highest increase in decades. https://t.co/v4tlpmOyd3)
RT @JonLemire: WASHINGTON (AP) — Social Security checks to increase by 5.9%, as inflation fuels largest COLA for retirees in nearly 40 years.
This is great news! For many years, the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program didn't live up to its full potential to provide relief for public servants. This upcoming overhaul will be life-changing for many Hoosier borrowers and their families. https://t.co/eTlGigaNCd
RT @EducateIN: Congratulations to our top 3 finalists for Indiana Teacher of the Year! ➡️ Lisa Clegg, @FWCommSchools ➡️ Sharita… https://t.co/FST1B2zt1a
Congrats to Zachary Myers & Clifford Johnson! They have been confirmed by the Senate to serve as the U.S. Attorneys for the Southern and Northern Districts of Indiana, respectively. @RepMrvan & I were honored to nominate them for these vital roles in our state's justice system. https://t.co/XboDVafz9d
Congratulations to @RollsRoyce! This major investment means more good jobs for Hoosiers and the continued growth of our region’s aerospace and defense industry. I’ll keep working to support this vital part of our local economy. https://t.co/XEqzBl9fA7
Like so many other Hoosiers & Americans, I'm extremely concerned by the mistreatment of Haitian alysum seekers at our border. We must treat all migrants with dignity. We should not be deporting these refugees back to Haiti where they have fled from so many dangers on the ground.
Republicans on the T&I Committee are trying to block Highway Safety funds from communities they falsely claim are seeking to "defund the police." This a very dangerous, bad faith effort that threatens the safety of many. That's why I spoke out against it. @TransportDems https://t.co/RG77BwO5xr
