I am opposed to a border wall. A border wall is a 14th century solution to a 2st century problem. We must invest in technology, personnel and humanitarian aid to avert the immigration influx.
Today, I joined @JohnCornyn, @SenatorSinema and @RepTonyGonzalez to tour migrant facilities and meet with local officials about the Bipartisan Border Solutions Act – which would help lay the foundation for sensible immigration reform & manage migration influxes. https://t.co/nGbnv3d9Kg

After Hamas launched more than 3,000 rockets to exploit and initiate hostilities against Israel, we must stand firm in our belief that Israel has a right to defend herself - it is in the best interests of U.S. national security.
There are many barriers for low-income and rural populations for them to obtain a vaccine, such as access to health care, technology, and transportation. Congress must pass President Biden’s #AmericanRescuePlan to help CDC strengthen community vaccination centers. https://t.co/gO9TTIrsTs

I applaud the Georgia Secretary of State, Mr. Raffensperger, for his commitment to upholding our county’s election integrity, adhering to the will of the American voters, and following the rule of law.

However, the Trump Administration is disregarding the intent of the law and building his ineffective border wall next to this landmark- jeopardizing our history, our culture and our environment. We can’t let him get away with it.
I worked hard to include language in the 2020 Appropriations bill that prohibits any border construction within a number of sites in South Texas, including Eli Jackson Cemetery. https://t.co/A8DEusJIQc
To protect our democracy from the #coronavirus, @HouseDems passed the #HeroesAct in May to ensure that states can safely conduct elections. No one should have to choose between their health and their vote. https://t.co/dGhhQFfd1x

The @USPS is an essential service for Americans, especially during this pandemic. We need to fully fund the Postal Service now to ensure it is fully operational for all us. https://t.co/i4592T5tuw
https://t.co/736co9WjlZ A shorter door-knocking time frame of the Census will cause massive undercounting of vulnerable communities in South Texas & across the United States, resulting in fewer federal resources. We need to continue to work together for an accurate count.
This morning in the @HouseDemocrats call, I gave an update on the COVID-19 outbreak in South Texas & the need to provide direct aid to local governments & schools. We need to act now & address the skyrocketing costs local governments face as they continue to battle this pandemic. https://t.co/mQgLIoXKip
