Joyce had an overdue tax refund from 2019 but could not get a response from the IRS for two years. She reached out to my office for help. Our office was able to secure her refund in a timely manner. 1/ https://t.co/NgJgV4L2Pj
We passed this bill with broad support from Republicans and Democrats. No matter what part of the country you’re from or what party you’re in, we all want small businesses to succeed.
The 11 @MaineSBDC throughout our district helped almost 3,000 Mainers last year with their businesses, creating or protecting nearly 1,000 jobs in that time. My bill would help bring SBDC services to even more small businesses in our state.
PASSED: Last night, the House passed my bipartisan bill to reauthorize and expand Small Business Development Centers across the country. This program has helped 1000s of small biz owners across Maine launch a business, expand, avoid layoffs, hire more people, and much more. https://t.co/elTC3JCTRc
Earlier this month, I sat down with a group of Rangeley small biz owners to talk about what the last few years have been like for their businesses & discuss how Congress can help, from cutting red tape to bringing federal resources to bear. Thanks to Moose Alley for having us. https://t.co/ddoHG8Dt8S
We made this program permanent as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, but not enough people know about it. Nearly a quarter of Mainers qualify for the program, but only about 10% of those who are eligible have signed up. You can apply here: https://t.co/Y73uIhhLIM 2/
Maine’s lobstermen, the workforce with the most at stake under the misguided new right whale rules, need to be fairly represented at the table where recommendations are devekoped. I’m pushing for add'l seats on the Take Reduction Team for members of the Maine Lobstering Union. 2/

I visited Togus last month to celebrate Veterans Day and give my thanks to the doctors, nurses, administrators and other workers who help care for Maineveterans and their families. We’re lucky to have these dedicated public servants here in our state. #mepolitics https://t.co/PkpEsMx4JI
.@SenBennet has it right. I sure didn’t come to Congress to cut taxes for rich people. QT @SenatorBennet: The House proposal on SALT gives more than 70% of its benefits to the wealthiest 5% — that's preposterous. The Ame… https://t.co/UlooPM9n68)

I applaud ME Lobstering Union for filing & prevailing this suit. It’s a great example of the power of unions to get results for working people. This struggle isn't over and I'll be working with lobstermen to keep up the fight for fair regulations based on data and evidence. 3/
This decision is a victory for Maine lobstermen. For the first time, the concerns of lobstermen were weighed fairly and as a result we have a ruling grounded in common sense and the public good. https://t.co/kL4irSOvgY 1/
