This election, all registered voters in the state of CT have the option to vote absentee. If you're planning to vote absentee, it’s extremely important to make a plan, and to vote as early as possible. For more information, visit https://t.co/BiGJ27FhSP
The Enfield Fire Department is home to a piece of our nations history – 2 beams from the World Trade Center North Tower. Today, I visited the garden where the beams stand today, honoring the first responders who ran in to those burning towers 19 years ago. #NeverForget https://t.co/FYTZD5rjgX
On the anniversary of September 11, all Americans should reflect on the sacrifices made by first responders, and on the unity they inspired in our country. We must never forget the lost, and always remember that America is strongest when we work together. https://t.co/3R3B80cIs8

This latest contract award to @GDElectricBoat from the @USNavy is another endorsement of the skilled workfroce in Groton, and the value they and other private shipyards bring to the readiness of our submarine force. Great news, congratulations! https://t.co/FswnbOkqZa
I joined over 170 colleagues in writing to Postmaster General #DeJoy about changes he’s made that have resulted in longer wait times, more undelivered mail, & confusion at #USPS. The Postmaster General needs to be transparent on what went into these decisions. Full letter here: https://t.co/ev13a14IkK
The House voted last week to pass the Great American Outdoors Act, and now it’s law! Great news for conservation in eastern #CT, as the bill will help support everything from local and nat’l parks, to conservation areas like @TheLastGreenValley, & more.https://t.co/uzlo1Zv5WJ
Last week, my office received a response from @SecNav providing additional information on the #BlueWater Navy Vietnam Veterans Act and the @USNavy’s plan to ensure submariner veterans are treated on parity with their shipmates.https://t.co/J5zxCbF3FI

Thank you to @SenatorShaheen for helping to lead the charge in the Senate. All across the US, Americans have the opportunity to refinance mortgages, car loans & more. His family’s description of his love for his mother, who he called out to with his final breath, should stir the heart of every American. It was a powerful statement about our common humanity that makes the cause of racial justice a moral necessity.

One of Connecticut’s giants passed today. Betty Ellis was a First Amendment hero with a fierce commitment to protecting freedom of press and our democratic way of life. Her legacy and example are now more important than ever. https://t.co/bRm5SLGfXs
Last week we received welcome clarification from the IRS, stating that assistance received through the CFSIC will not be treated as taxable income in most cases. This is a major development for many eastern CT homeowners & comes in time for the extended 2019 tax filing deadline.
Yesterday, the IRS issued new guidance clarifying that financial assistance to taxpayers with #crumblingfoundations through CFSIC will not be treated as taxable income in most cases – great news for those with crumbling foundations in our area. More here: https://t.co/YfAN4iWtMj
