In eastern CT and across the country, federal workers like firefighters & police officers perform physically demanding jobs. My Improving Access to Workers’ Compensation for injured Federal Workers Act will help ensure they get the care they need if they’re hurt on the job.

In eastern Connecticut, 1000 federal workers at SUBASE New London – including firefighters, police officers, and crane operators go to work every day to keep its mission on track.

Injuries do happen, and this bill ensures those workers receive the same care as any other worker in Connecticut, under the scope of practice determined by state law.

Make no mistake about it – Alito's mocking language targeting the ‘unenumerated rights’ of women and doctors is not just an attack on reproductive choice, it’s an attack on the ‘unenumerated rights’ the Court cited for contraceptives, interracial marriage, and same sex marriage.

The American Rescue Plan’s Restaurant Revitalization Fund provided support to hundreds of local restaurants in Connecticut. The House recently passed a bill to replenish it for those restaurants who missed out before funding ran dry. Now, it's time for the Senate to pass it too!

The American Rescue Plan has provided direct support to cities and towns across CT-02 – helping businesses stay open and critical services stay operational during the pandemic. It was great to see how some of the funding has been put to use in Madison.

I wrapped up my day at the Madison Ambulance Facility. They used American Rescue Plan resources to complete phase 1 of repairs to their HVAC system. They’ve also ordered an oxygen refill station that allows for easier refill of oxygen tanks for emergency response. https://t.co/eio6ZSmhy5
