The COMPETES Act will reduce costs for NJ families & help our businesses better compete with China. While I do not agree with everything the bill includes, I believe on the whole it will have a positive impact. And I intend to continue working to improve the bill moving forward.
As we see an unacceptable rise in Jewish hate and violence in America, we must fight against Antisemitism wherever and whenever we see it. Every one of us. Holocaust education and interfaith solidarity are absolutely critical in now and always.

NJ has the most professional law enforcement in the nation, and I am incredibly thankful for all they do for my family, our community, and the great state of New Jersey.
It’s been a tough couple years, but our police officers have never faltered. They put themselves at risk taking care of our community during COVID and, thanks to the Capitol Hill police officers, I made it home safely after Jan 6.
I have conflicting emotions about Jan 6. Yes, it marks one of the darkest days in our nation's history. But the brave acts of so many people that day & in the days that followed, fill me w/ hope that we can begin to heal as a nation & become a stronger, more resilient democracy. https://t.co/MWNweRNtQG

In the wake of the anti-Asian shooting in Atlanta, Jun organized her friends and neighbors in the Chathams for a rally to speak out against hate. Since then, she has continued her advocacy for the AAPI community here in NJ-11 and she is truly inspiring! https://t.co/Nv2SzBxGfR

Lea from @BoroughRoseland has served her community alongside her father since she was 13 as an EMR and now EMT on the local volunteer rescue squad. Throughout the pandemic, while applying to college and managing her classwork, Lea suited up to help those in need. https://t.co/nDIOmW30Wg

It was heartwarming to see the community come together this morning at the Essex County Holiday Emergency Food Distribution to ensure families in need can have a great dinner this holiday season. Thanks to the Essex County Police Academy for their generous help this morning. https://t.co/gS6AC7OnDQ

Thanks to former Drew University Professor Charles Courtney and Madison Mayor Conley for giving me a demo on how easy it is to charge an electric vehicle! Excited that with funding from the bipartisan infrastructure law, New Jersey will be able to expand its EV charging network. https://t.co/vUzJ1REeEo
This summer, @NIH announced additional investment in HIV cure research to help researchers across the county continue their tireless work to fight this disease. I am grateful for all of their incredible work to find a cure.
Tomorrow, Wednesday December 1st, is the final day to donate to Trees for Troops. Donations help service members and their families celebrate with a Christmas Tree this holiday season. https://t.co/S4woDXW1Jz

As we’ve worked this week in DC to deliver SALT, Gateway, & childcare for NJ families, I hope to have good news to share soon. I look forward to continue working closely with everyone who won their races once we finally pass these packages to keep delivering for New Jerseyans.
Congratulations to the Governor, NJ Senate and Assembly members and local NJ11 electeds. Thank you, too, to all candidates for you hard work and participation in our democratic process.
I started my day popping into the IUOE Local 68 office before they headed out to canvass. Unions are always the superstars of GOTV weekends and I appreciate IUOE and @NJEA hitting the pavement for so many great candidates this year. https://t.co/VHxzoZYRUA
Happy Birthday to my amazing mom. Thank you for all you do for us and for being the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. https://t.co/So3kgYLYP2

Last week, it was my honor to stop by the @GreatSwampNJ gala last week and present this proclamation celebrating their 40 years of amazing work to protect the health of the watershed. https://t.co/lG56xlXVov
We toured the childcare center at @montclairstateu and then sat down with parents and providers to talk about the challenges they’ve faced during the pandemic and how we can address this crisis through the Build Back Better Act.
This November, we will elect candidates that will ensure these rights are protected in our courts, in our state, and in our nation. https://t.co/rQhlZhf1CB
This morning it was great to join our governor @PhilMurphyNJ at the Women’s March in Montclair to make it clear - New Jersey is ready to fight for women’s rights, constitutional rights and voting rights across the country. https://t.co/guwCqIsLbm
My staff will be available to discuss the nomination process and we will have representatives from the U.S. Military, Naval, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marine Academies, and Army, USMC, Navy, and Air Force ROTC.
If you or your child is interested in attending one of our nation’s service academies or learning more about the process, I invite you to join my office for a Service Academy Information Webinar on Monday, October 4 at 5:30 PM. Click here to register: https://t.co/sW0whJvFJM https://t.co/rMEaZFq1Fl
I proudly voted for the EQUAL Act, which I also co-sponsored, to end the decades-long crack & powder cocaine sentencing disparity that unjustly targets Black Americans. Thank you to @senbooker & @RepJeffries for your work on making our justice system fairer for all Americans.

#NJ11 came out strong! It was so great to spend energizing these volunteers of all ages before they hit the doors across northern New Jersey this weekend! https://t.co/44pQqNuRnG
In September, #NJ11 faced historic and devastating floods. Today I chaired a hearing with @NOA Administrator Spinrad on how we can ensure we are #WeatherReady and how the agency is prioritizing their climate science initiatives. View the hearing here: https://t.co/bkuOr3wzE9
We also passed funding through the emergency supplemental to help resettle the incredibly brave Afghans. This aid is targeted to Afghans and their families receiving this funding are in the SIV program & are responsible for protecting countless American lives.
Included in the CR was an emergency supplemental for additional Hurricane Ida recovery. This includes relief for families across northern New Jersey who are still dealing with the fallout of the devastating floods that hit our communities earlier this month.
Last night the House passed a critical continuing resolution & avoided the fiscal cliff, which will keep the government funded through December. We have a pandemic to battle & an economy to rebuild. Proud we're protecting lives & livelihoods by skipping the partisan budget games.
This weekend I participated in the 9/11 Promise Run. I ran 9.11 miles to help honor our fallen neighbors and support our first responders who ran into the towers to save others. https://t.co/osXIHt3oPO
Last night in Chatham, I joined the 9/11 Memorial Committee & local officials in remembering the 13 residents lost 20 years ago & honoring our first responders. Thank you to Retired Capt. Bob Penn for recounting his experiences at Ground Zero & reminding us of the power of unity. https://t.co/ouNAAGxQh2
I joined residents who lost loved ones on September 11 at Eagle Rock Reservation to commemorate all those lost. @SenBooker, @SenatorMenendez, @Joe_D_EssexExec, @RepDonaldPayne, @LtGovOliver, elected officials, & clergy gathered at the same site where many saw the towers fall. https://t.co/RIIkwRjamP
Thank you to @Joe_D_EssexExec for his efforts to highlight the impacts on Essex to FEMA officials. Securing this federal aid took advocacy from all levels. Now, let’s get to work putting it to good use for our residents.
NEW: @fema has added Essex Co. to its disaster declaration. Essex was hit hard with severe flooding, countless injuries, & 4 tragic deaths. We badly needed this federal aid, which is why @RepDonaldPayne & I urged its inclusion so strongly. https://t.co/6xNP2IIABA
My team and I have been on the phone with FEMA and local officials advocating for needed relief for our towns. I stand with Gov. Murphy and counties like Essex asking that a major disaster declaration be issued for those counties who have been hit hardest. QT @GovMurphy: .@fema has announced a Major Disaster Declaration for six New Jersey counties and their assessment teams are on the… https://t.co/kw6KcyuZVm)
