Local authorities report that Hwy 8 is now open, but the exits for Tavern Rd and Willow Rd in Alpine are closed due to ongoing #WestFire.

For my neighbors in Alpine affected by the "West Fire", @RedCross is setting up an overnight evacuation site at Los Coches Creek Middle School, 9669 Dunbar Lane, El Cajon. There is a temporary evacuation site @ViejasCasino & Resort parking lot.
