Yes! This will be a major part of my platform. Anyone who’s heard me talk about transit has heard me say: “There’s no good reason we don’t have a rail network as good as NYC.” I’ve worked on HBLR, NJT, and NYCT in my engineering career. It needs to be expanded massively in NJ. https://t.co/g55nQYXtYB QT @upzonenj: )

My neighbor @garymurphy30 speaks eloquently here on the multi-faceted nature of the political aristocracy’s corruption. Fundamentally, they believe you & I don’t belong neither in the process nor this community. That’s why our progressive movement believes #EveryoneBelongsHere! I love my country, & that means putting its people first. It means empowering all our neighbors to participate fully in our government. Congress right now doesn’t accomplish that goal. It’s no wonder Congressional approval rating has been at or below 30% since 2005. /8

@JonatPhil 100%, and I would add that systemic problems require systemic solutions. We’re all neighbors in this global community, and we should all pitch in. However, if we want all our neighbors to be able to pitch in then we have to make it as easy as possible for them to do so.

This is the 2nd massive fire that’s poisoned our air in North Jersey. Fossil fuel plants, landfills, and trucks also choke our community. This is one way a #GreenNewDeal can be implemented in NJ: investing in solutions to end these noxious polluters. @EnemyNumberWon I hear you & you’re right. There will be a group of ppl who vote for me b/c im not the other guy. But given 47% of NJ voters not casting a ballot in 2018 & I’m not running against “Senator McCormick’s” kid is evidence enough for me that “being the other guy” isn’t enough.

@floridatommy90 @colin_devries I’ve said it before & I’ll say it again: You should be able to get on a train at 92nd & Kennedy in North Bergen and get off at 1st & Kennedy in Bayonne.

Anyone who’s worked in a hazardous environment has probably seen the hierarchy of controls. There is no PPE for a 1.5ton missile going 40mph, & laws don’t stiffen bones. We can’t eliminate , but we can substitute them for &, and we can engineer our streets to be safer. https://t.co/HGAYpv307Z QT @MeganCarolan: Counterpoint: drivers, all you need to do is not hit people. https://t.co/EBAU0peTtQ)

Too many co-opt Rev Dr King for their own ends. To me his message was radical love, rooted in what he believed our Redeemer preached: no matter what you look like or where you’re from, we are brothers & sisters. I think living that belief every day is the best way to honor him.

@swirlsonacake For me, being my neighbor isn't contingent on whether one agrees w/ me. Ultimately, we all share this community & we don't make allies by othering people. If we stay in tribalized camps sneering at each other, we all lose. We need to find ways to bridge gaps, & build community.

@upzonenj I feel like you’re making a lot of assumptions. I’m not trying to play games with AMI levels. Hence why I asked. I’m an engineer making a decent salary. I can’t afford an $800000 condo while having to pay student loans. Everyone needs a home they can afford.

This is why legislators shouldn’t procrastinate till the last day of the session like a 6th grader w/ their science fair project. You’re running a government, act like it. QT @johnreitmeyer: NJ's ready, fire, aim policymaking strikes again . . . https://t.co/ILCqe37CX7)
