Time & again, I'm heartbroken by the news of another shooting in MN05. Gun violence is 5 yr high. It's unconscionable Ilhan Omar satback as crimes emboldened. Part of our healing must be the conviction that we'll do everything in our power to keep these tragedies from happening.

Our leaders, our ruling class, our credentialed masters, are utterly worthless. They’re nothing. To even consider them people is generous, because who does what they do to us? They have all but abandoned thousands of Americans in harm’s way.

There're no magic solutions to gun violence. There're many solutions. For one, we'd shift our collective perspective & stop thinking of gun control as a political battle & instead see gun violence as a public-health issue. This way, many of the underlying symptoms can be treated.

Reducing the incidence of gun violence requires interventions through multiple systems, including legal, public health, public safety, community, and mental health. Like I said, if we approach it as a public health, it'll address the underlying causes.

The licensing of handgun purchasers, background check requirements for all gun sales, & close oversight of retail gun sellers (can reduce the diversion of guns to criminals.)

It's fair to say that students who've just graduated from high school have no set of skills. If they've developed any skill, it's from the part-time jobs done to earn pocket money. That needs to change. High school should contribute to teaching any necessary skills to students.
