Today I met with constituent representatives from @HRC to discuss the Every Child Deserves a Family Act, of which I am a cosponsor. This bill would protect LQBTQ foster and adoptive families. Thanks for meeting with me today and keep up the good work! https://t.co/byiASWxqRJ
Had a very informative and important conversation with my friend and fellow veterinarian @RepTedYoho and the @AVMAvets. Vets are uniquely able to address the links between human, animal and environmental health. https://t.co/NyHgJAhvLl
Great job West Linn High School! 99% graduation rate and highest in the state in Oregon. Very proud to represent you in Congress. Keep up the great work! @WLWVdistrict https://t.co/212M9xnjZQ
A big thank you to everyone who came out to my town hall in Lincoln County last night. We talked about bringing more affordable housing to rural communities, protecting our oceans and my work in Congress to lower drug costs and protect the ACA. https://t.co/sA9JHC3tsm
Last night was my town hall in Clackamas county, I heard from constituents about the issues that are most on their minds, from the Affordable Care Act to Iran. Thank you to everyone who showed up. https://t.co/pNhePPdhEI
RT @UOAdvocates: Have you visited the Hatfield Marine Science Center? If you haven't, take a trip to Newport and join @RepSchrader… https://t.co/cfwzGLbwdZ
Students defrauded by for-profit colleges are often left with crippling debt, useless degrees and none of the opportunities they were promised. This is wrong and today the House of Representatives reversed an unnecessarily cruel rule, enacted by Secretary DeVos. https://t.co/xYT1TCl6lZ
These preyed upon borrowers are often older, first generation students and veterans. They should be able to access relief from the loans they took out to attend these fraudulent schools and move forward with their lives.
It is a very busy week in Washington! Watch my video update below to learn more about how I am voting to: Protect our Oregon coast from the effects of global warming Help Oregon farmers secure their workforce Lower drug costs for hundreds of thousands of constituents
Cuts to SNAP will affect thousands of Oregonians who are food insecure, many of whom are seniors, veterans and children. These cuts are cruel and unnecessary. I will continue to stand in strong support of SNAP. https://t.co/9TYC02hlxS
Tune in to @1190KEX today at 12:00 pm to hear me talk with Mark Mason about HR 3.
Latino businesses are among the fastest growing in Oregon. Latino Business Alliance is dedicated to helping local Latino owned businesses across the state. Today I sat down with members to talk about what challenges they see for local businesses. https://t.co/NFPJ9cf8DA
Today the House voted to protect millions of acres of wilderness and national treasures like the Grand Canyon and Chaco National Park. I am proud to have voted in support of these bipartisan bills that will protect our public lands for generations to come. https://t.co/rEJFhtK7gB
@EnergyCommerce The first amendment that we will be debating is my bipartisan BIOSIM Bill that will reign in health care costs for many who are battling rare diseases and need access to biosimilar drugs.
@EnergyCommerce The cost of insulin has nearly tripled in the last 10 years. This endangers the lives of millions of Americans living with diabetes. This is just one of the reasons I am fighting to lower prescriptions prices for Oregonians.
The racist comments made by President Trump about my colleagues in Congress are extremely offensive and totally unacceptable. Comments like this have no place in our country, especially from our Commander in Chief. https://t.co/wj9BuiSHQ0
Congratulations to @IEPDX in Wilsonville on their ribbon cutting today! It’s always a pleasure to see new businesses in our communities. Thank you to the Wilsonville Area Chamber of Commerce for organizing this “After Hours” event to celebrate today. https://t.co/lQoaLwRKhS
