I call upon Congress to do more in the face of this naked and stupid aggression.  First, while disconnecting Russian banks from SWIFT is a powerful step, we need to sanction far more of Putin’s wealthy inner-circle.

Third, we must seriously reevaluate our reliance on Russian energy sources.  Unless severely limited, Putin’s export power in oil and grain ensures he retains global influence.

Putin desperately wants a polarized world, but especially one here in the United States.  It is now a matter of national security that we end the divisions in our country, starting with the 2022 elections.
